Papas got a brand new blog!
In this, our Poster Pop’s 1st real blog posting, we wanted to talk about Derek Yaniger and BigToe, who coincidentally are the two newest artists at Poster Pop.
What do these 2 artists have in common (and how did they become Poster Pop's newest artists)?
1. Both are working artists who create and capture ideas, and more importantly render tons of new ideas into finished works. BigToe carries around his Sketchbook and jots down ideas as drawings. Derek Yaniger talks about ideas and draws on paper and even renders beautiful drawings in his books when he signs them!
2. Both artists have unique and amazing artwork Their finished pieces are really great! I really dig the art! This is personally my most important criteria, but it is not always enough...
3. Both Artists attend a lot of the big events! Both BigToe and Derek Yaniger were at Comic-con, and Tiki Oasis in 2009 and 2010. By attending local Art Shows, and these big events like Comic-con and Tiki Oasis, they show and promote their art, mingle with their fans, as well as gain new ones!
When you think about it, maybe all of this in addition to being introduced by important people are why Derek and BigToe became Poster Pop’s 2 newest artists!
